Only Apply for Opportunities You are Qualified For

If you don't have the skills needed for a volunteer position or are not able to meet the time commitment, please don't apply for it. The volunteer applicant review process can be quite time-consuming, so we please ask that only applicants that can fulfill the requirements and necessary skills apply for positions.

Be Prompt with Correspondence

If we notify you of your eligibility for a particular opportunity, please be prompt with your reply. You may lose your opportunity if you wait too long to confirm your availability, and delays could also preempt the possibility for other applicants. If your plans change at any time and you are no longer able to volunteer, please notify us as soon as possible. Arranging an opportunity can take quite a bit of planning and correspondance with organizations, so please save us from unnecessary extra work if you can.

Inform Yourself

Please browse our site and read the information we have put together for you! Also feel free to browse related Tibetan sites on our related sites page in our Community section. The more aware you are of the situation facing Tibetans in Tibet and in exile, the more effective you can be as a volunteer. If you have a question, please first look at our community and volunteer sections to see if we have already posted the information you need. A great way to gain insight into the Tibetan community of Dharamsala and the Tibetan culture is to sign up for our Reception and Orientation service.

Please Support Us

We are a grassroots organization and completely not-for-profit; all of our funding comes from the kind donations from our volunteers, friends, and family. Help support us by signing up for our services or by making a donation!
